The Fertility Center Hamburg is one of the most renowned German hospitals in the field of reproductive medicine and has been established at No. 4 Speersort, in the heart of Hamburg, since 1998. The FCH places particular emphasis on its quality management, and it is one of the first fertility clinics whose QM system was certified (1988) and accredited (2001). In addition, the introduction of new methods for diagnosis and treatment plays an important role, such as the so-called TESE, which was introduced in collaboration with the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, or the so-called polar body diagnosis (PBD). The PBD is particularly suitable for women aged 35 and over. It reduces the probability of abortion by about 50 per cent. The results of these efforts are an above-average pregnancy rate (60 – 80 % cumulated over four cycles) and about 8,000 babies who were born with the help of the FCH.
